Tian Tan Buddha (天坛大佛) - Lantau Island (大屿山)

I would recommend for anyone going to Hong Kong, this should be in their to do list -- Tian Tan Buddha.
We took MTR until Tung Chung station (东涌站) and then cable car ride from Tung Chung. We purchased the package which included round trip Ngong Ping Cable Car, Entry to Walking with Buddha and Entry to Monkey's Tale Theatre, the price was around HKD 160 per person.

The cable car journey was around 20-25 mins 1 way. During the 25 mins journey, we enjoyed the beautiful relaxing sceney so much, you might find it is a huge contrast from the view on Victoria Peak.

The cable car will stop at Ngong Ping Village, there were some sourvenier shops, tea house and restaurants in the village.

We went for the shows - Walking with Buddha and Monkey's Tale Theatre, it was around 15 mins each.

After the Ngong Ping Village, you can see the seated bronze Buddha - Tian Tan Buddha (天坛大佛) and also the Po Lin Monastery (宝莲禅寺).

By following the signage "The Wisdom Path", continue walking for around 15-20mins and you'll see 38 large Buddism wooden columns installed on the ground along the hill. The "Heart Sutra" was carved into each of the wooden columns.

On the journey going back to Ngong Ping Village, we stopped for food. There was a small store offered food and drinks between The Wisdom Path and the Teahouse, the price was slightly higher but we think it is still acceptable as this is a tourism spot.
