Chengdu - Dujiangyan 都江堰

Dujiangyan (都江堰) Irrigation System is built over 2,200 years ago and it is one of the greatest development of Chinese science. The intelligence and careful design has made a good contribution to irrigation system, flood control, and transportation.

During the visit, some buildings were under restoration due to the destroys caused by the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake, therefore we were not allowed to pay a visit to some of the buildings.

We use our Gold Panda Card to get a free entrance to this scenic spot, the normal admission fee is RMB90 per person.
